Choosing a picnic table sounds simple until you compare timber grades, sizes and how the table will be used. This guide walks through the decisions we help AusCraft customers make every week.
1. Match the timber to the site
- Classic pine suits sheltered residential settings and tighter budgets.
- H3 treated pine is the workhorse for parks, schools and public spaces.
- Premium Australian hardwood (Spotted Gum, Ironbark, Red Gum) gives Class 1 durability and the best looks for hospitality venues.
Our pine ranges carry a 1 year structural warranty and Premium Hardwood carries a 3 year structural warranty, with surface finishes excluded on both.
2. Get the size right
AusCraft picnic tables run from 1200mm (seats about 4) to 3000mm (seats about 14). For cafes and pubs, several smaller tables usually work harder than one long one. For schools and parks, 2400mm is the most requested all-rounder.
3. Think about access and fixing
Bolt-down and in-ground mounting suit public sites. If you need wheelchair access, our Heavy Duty and Premium Hardwood picnic tables offer a wheelchair accessible end option, and we confirm the layout with your quote.
4. Quote-first, made to order
Every AusCraft table is made to order in West Gosford NSW. Request a quote with your site details and we confirm pricing, lead time and the right configuration before production.
