Common questions about the Heavy Duty Treated Pine Picnic Table

Straight answers from the workshop. Anything else, ask us or add a note to your quote.

What makes the Heavy Duty picnic table different from the Classic?

The Heavy Duty is built from H3 treated pine, which is treated for above-ground outdoor exposure, with reinforced joints. It is the table we recommend for parks, schools, holiday parks and other high-traffic public spaces.

Is it suitable for schools and councils?

Yes, this is our council and school favourite. It handles daily public use and full weather exposure, and it can be bolted down or set in-ground for permanent installation. We can also supply the insurance and site paperwork institutional sites usually ask for with your quote.

Can I get a wheelchair accessible version?

Yes. The Heavy Duty picnic table offers a wheelchair accessible end option. It changes the seating layout, so we confirm the best size and access end with your quote. Just answer "Wheelchair access required?" when you configure the table.

What sizes are available and how many people do they seat?

Standard lengths run 1200mm to 3000mm. As a guide: 1800mm seats about 6 to 8, 2100mm about 8 to 10 and 2400mm about 10 to 12. For busy sites, two shorter tables often work better than one long one.

How is it fixed to the ground?

You can choose bolt-down (onto concrete) or in-ground (legs set into the ground) mounting. Bolt-down is the usual pick for existing slabs; in-ground suits parks and open turf areas. Tell us about your site in the quote and we will recommend the right fix.

What finishes are available?

The same finish range as the Classic: raw, painted, stained, varnished or oiled tops with matching or white/black painted legs. Many councils choose raw or oiled treated pine for easy upkeep.

What warranty does it come with?

Our pine ranges carry a 1 year structural warranty. Surface finishes and normal weathering are excluded, and the full terms are confirmed with your quote. The warranty documents are on our Resources page.

How do I get a price for multiple tables?

Configure the table, set the quantity, and send the quote request. Bulk and project orders for schools, councils and venues are our bread and butter, and we confirm pricing, delivery and site details in one reply.
