Five Australian hardwood species: QLD Spotted Gum, Grey Ironbark, Red Ironbark, QLD Red Gum and Gympie Messmate. Each has its own grain and colour character. Note that Red Gum and Red Ironbark are different timbers, and we are happy to talk you through the differences before you decide.
Hardwood is the premium tier: denser timber, richer grain and the best long-term looks, which is why cafes, hotels and homeowners pick it for front-of-house spaces. Treated pine remains the practical workhorse for budget-driven public sites.
Raw, oiled or varnished, with matching or painted legs. Oiling shows the grain at its best and is the most popular choice; the configurator shows the exact combinations we build for each species.
Yes. The Premium Hardwood picnic table offers a wheelchair accessible end option. It changes the seating layout and final configuration, so we confirm the best size and access end with your quote.
Standard lengths run 1200mm to 3000mm, seating roughly 4 through to 14 people. Custom lengths are available subject to production confirmation.
Premium Hardwood carries a 3 year structural warranty. Surface finishes and normal weathering are excluded, and the full terms are confirmed with your quote. The warranty documents are on our Resources page.
Less than you might think. A clean and re-oil typically every 6 to 12 months depending on sun and rain exposure keeps the colour rich. Left raw, hardwood weathers to a silver-grey that many customers like. The Premium Hardwood care guide on our Resources page has the details.
